Shakira launched her namesake fragrance collection in 2010 with S by Shakira, packaged in a bottle that evokes the curves of a dancer’s body. Through an arrangement with the international fragrance company Puig, she has followed S with Rock! (in a guitar-shaped bottle) and Elixir, as well as several flanker scents. Shakira has compared the process of fragrance design to musical composition, since both processes combine “chords” and “notes” that evoke emotion in their audiences.
