Vicky Tiel has been a top name in women's fashion since the 1960s, but her line of fragrances offers an equally stylish blend of scents. Graduating from Parson's School of Design in 1964, Vicky Tiel made a name for herself in France's fashion industry. Along with best friend Mia Fonssagrives, Vicky Tiel founded the Mia-Vicky fashion line, and the designers introduced flattering dresses and styles to complement a women's curves. The design line's Louis Feraud July '64 couture collection brought the introduction of miniskirts to the world of fashion. Mia and Vicky worked as the exclusive costume designers on Woody Allen's """"What's New Pussycat?"""" and their time in Hollywood put the pair in contact with Richard Burton, who hired Vicky to design clothes for his wife, actress Elizabeth Taylor. Taylor went on to become a business partner and financial backer for Tiel's Paris boutique. Over the years, Tiel's creations have been worn by celebrities such as Halle Berry, Oprah Winfrey, Goldie Hawn and Kim Kardashian. Tiel even designed the strapless gown worn by Julia Roberts in """"Pretty Woman."""" In addition to selling from her Paris boutique, Tiel's designs are also available at Bergdorf Goodman and Neiman Marcus, and she has a more affordable line available through the Home Shopping Network. The successful designer launched her line of fragrances in 1994, starting with the flowery scent Sirene. Oriental blend Venus De L'Amour was released in 1997, and the fruity and tropical Tickled Pink launched in 2011.
